He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Porter and Ruth Lee Porter; his great grandchild Amathyst Mae Riley; his in-laws, L. T. and Leola Hutcherson; and his siblings, Albert Porter, Mary Porter Suggs, Docial Porter Wimberly, Ella Marie Porter Vance and Violet Louise Porter Jones.
He is survived by: his son Shawn Porter (Christina Logan); his grandchildren, Alissiya Porter (Stephen Jr.), Keirra Hutchinson (Dorian), Nakyla Porter and Janell Porter; and his great grandchildren, Kemari, Stephen III, Makhian, Armane, Yamira Hall, Kairo, Danaerys, Kassius, Dayannis Hutchinson, Xalonni Porter, Aviyah, Azelyah and Domonique Jr. Riley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greiner Funeral Home (2005 N 13th St, Terre Haute, IN 47804). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
