He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Evol and Thelma Hardman Ball; his grandson Anthony Hale; and his sisters, Mary Yowell (Bobby) of Clinton and Joyce Strange (Bernie) of Terre Haute.

He is survived by: his wife Vickie Jackson; his daughters, Hope Jackson and Aneta Evol; his stepsons, Dennis and Jason Jackson; and his close friend Jennifer Stanley.
