It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Ann Smith of Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph R. Dowell and Catherine L. Rice Dowell; and her siblings, Robert Dowell and Janice Dowell. She is survived by: her husband John W. Smith; her children, Jacqueline Morse (Brian) of Terre Haute and Shawn Smith (Catherine) of Evansville, IN; her grandchildren, Jacob Morse, Riley Morse and Megan Morse; her brother Terry Dowell (Anna Lee) of Terre Haute; and her sister-in-law Gayle Lynn Dowell of Terre Haute. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
