With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Higgins-Jerry (Terre Haute, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 24, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janet Higgins-Jerry to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Jannenga and Leona Jannenga; her husband Robert H. Jerry; and her brother Barry Jannenga. She is survived by: her son Michael Higgins (Debbie); her grandchildren, Landon, Valerie of Avon, IN and Jennifer Higgins (Sam Perdue); her great grandchild Lauren of Lafayette, IN; her son Mark Higgins (Sally); her grandsons, Max and Sam of New Albany, OH.; her sister Carolyn Underwood; and her sister-in-law Marcia Jannenga of Sugar Grove, IL.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home (605 S 25th St, Terre Haute, IN 47803). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice, Vigo County Public Library, Vigo County Educational Heritage Association, or the Vigo County Education Foundation.
