He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Jenkins and Gertrude Jenkins (Hay); his half-siblings, Tommy Jenkins, Richard Jenkins, Phillip Jenkins, George Hay and Darlene Compton; and his stepbrothers, Jack Jenkins and Kenny Jenkins.

He is survived by: his children, Jack A. Deckard, Jr. (Lisa), Christina Wright (Scott) and Monica Richards; his grandchildren, Jasmine Wright, Zene Wright, Jaylee Shelby, Hailey Richards, Jeremy Richards, Jordan Nalwood and Thomas Deckard; and his half-sisters, Peggy Simms and Naomi Russell.

In lieu of flowers, donation in remembrance of Jack may be made to the American Cancer Society Lung Cancer Foundation or Hux Cancer Center.
