With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harold E Nieft Jr. (Terre Haute, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 11, 2024 at the age of 79. In the vast expanse of eternity, Harold shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Harold farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Edward Nieft Sr. and Audrey Elizabeth Nieft; his wife Sharon Nieft; his children, John Nieft and Susan Kluzinski; and his grandson Jared Nieft.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Nieft-Sykes (Brent) and Debra Turner; his siblings, Dottie Rankins (David) and David Overton; and his stepdaughter Cathy Walker. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Samaritan Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
