He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Edward Hendrix and Margaret Ruth Rockwood Hendrix; his stepson Allen Peters; and his brother LeeRoy Hendrix. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kay Carpenter Hendrix; his daughters, Susan Crosley (Rick) and Kristie Lee Hankins (Paul); his stepchildren, David Fullingim (William), Brad Peters (Amy) and Lori McCullough; and his brothers, Lloyd Hendrix (Lana) and Tom Hendrix (Pam). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
