In loving memory of Bonnie Kay Lu of Terre Haute, Indiana, who departed this world on February 20, 2025 at the age of 77. Bonnie Kay leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Laughrey and Josephine Catterline Laughrey; and her siblings, Ted Laughrey (Shirley), Shirley Vester (Harland) and Carolyn Maxwell.
She is survived by: her husband Carl Lu; her son Brian Hopton (Mandy) of Terre Haute; her grandchildren, B. J. Hopton, Jacob Hopton and Kayla Hopton; her brother-in-law Jim Maxwell of Terre Haute; and her caregiver Elizabeth Johnson. She is also survived by her extended family, including several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home (281 N Main St, Rosedale, IN 47874). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
