He was predeceased by: his parents, Oswin Engelbrecht and Agnes Engelbrecht (Wittman); and his sisters, Jeanette Brown, Margaret Smith, Pauline Bandy and Judith Sweeney.
He is survived by: his children, Regina Howe (Joe) of Evanston, Teague Engelbrecht of Evanston and Carmen Linne (Ryan) of Santa Claus; his siblings, Juanita Weil of Tell City, Ruth Ann Van Asperen (Si) of Fort Wayne, Doris Schauberger of Tell City and Kenneth Lottes of Mayer, AZ; his grandchildren, Alicia Mehringer, Haley Howe, Destiny Howe, Payton Engelbrecht and Gunner Engelbrecht; and his great grandchild Kaden Mehringer.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (12308 E County Rd 1160 N, Evanston, IN 47531). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery (12308 E County Rd 1160 N, Evanston, IN 47531).
