He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Champion and Gertrude Champion (Lauer). He is survived by: his wife Janice Masterson; his grandson Clay Champion (Jill); his brother Don Champion; his sister-in-law Helen Kleeman (Spud); his son Shawn; and his brothers, Richard and Eddie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
