It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph E. Butler Sr. of Tell City, Indiana, who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Estell Butler and Marie Butler (Clark); his wife Marie Butler; his son Ricky Allen Butler; his great grandchildren, Liam Dugas and Darius Watkins; and his son-in-law Matt Terry.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Jo Carter (Tim) of Chrisney, IN, Brenda Gayle Terry of Owensboro, KY, Debbie Butler of Cecilia, KY and Joseph E. Butler, Jr. (Faith) of Owensboro, KY; his sisters, Mary Alice Oliver of Bardstown, KY, Helen Butler of Elizabethtown, KY and Lola Morgan of Cecilia, KY; his grandchildren, April Noland (Jason), Erica Gaither (Donald), Ashley Dugas (Jordan), Erick Jones, Tommy Terry (Pamela), Cassi Terry, Dusty Terry, Derick Terry (Dakota), Anna Kerns, JD Evrard, Marissa Butler, Kate Butler, Zachary Butler and Joey Butler; and his pet Angel. He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
