He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Ramsey (Dowell) and James Henry Ramsey; his siblings, Jerry, Jimmy, Kenneth, David Ramsey, Henriella Bynon and Gloria Shephard; and his great grandchild Noah Merrill Reno.

He is survived by: his children, Dennis (Georgia Morris), Mark (Kathy Sabelhaus), Chris (Karen), Neil (Anne), Lisa Acchiardo (Rod) and Mary Grace Ramsey; his sister Jean Zellers; and his grandchildren, Lita Oberhausen, Lauren Hartz, Adam Ramsey, Nathan Ramsey, Guy Ramsey, Sarah Ramsey, Ryan Ramsey, John Ramsey, Mary Ramsey, Joe Acchiardo, Paul Acchiardo and Laura Acchiardo. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
