He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Ray Rodman and Martha M. Rodman (Irwin); his former wife Rose Mary Zimmerman; his wife Betty Bishop; and his sister Rosemary Hapner.

He is survived by: his children, Walter Rodman, Jr., Jacqueline Corsa, Cathleen Bumbaugh (Bob), Thelma Thomas (Jim), Dixie Wagaman and Anita Rodman; and his brothers, Harvey and David Rodman. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
