Yates (Syracuse, Indiana), born in Battletown, Kentucky, who passed away on March 2, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stuart Yates and Ilah Dee Yates (Frans); his wife Betty Lou Randles; his grandson Jeremy Yates; and his sister Mildred Stevens.
He is survived by: his sons, G. Randle West, Russell L. Yates of Syracuse and Kenneth Scott Yates (Patty) of Bristol; his grandchildren, Michael West, Matthew West, Benjamin West, Sarah Nichols, Andrew West, Bethany Downey, Jennifer Yates, Joshua Yates (Nadine) and Mary Katelyn Ridenour (Dean); and his siblings, Jean Motz of Shelbyville, Jan Thomas of Cape Girardeau, MO and Darrell Yates of Seymour. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
