She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudy Eugene Abshire, Sr. and Bethel Mae Shelton (Johnson); her stepson Thomas Johnson of Kendallville; her son Casey Baron Barber; and her brother Jerry Holcomb.
She is survived by: her daughter Brigette Barber of North Carolina; her brother Rudy Abshire, Jr. (Debbie) of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Destini Teasley, Brady Teasley (Abby) and Brooklyn Teasley of North Carolina, Four; her great grandchildren, Xavier, Kailani, Tatum and Kamora; her niece Michelle Abshire Ratliff (Brandon); and her stepchildren, Kenny Johnson (Kim, family: Matt Johnson) and Amy Johnson. She is also survived by step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, and many close friends.
