It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Jean Freeman of Syracuse, Indiana, born in Jackson, Kentucky, who passed away on August 30, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery Riley and Emma Riley (Harris); her husband Ned W. Freeman; and her brother Gerald Riley. She is survived by: her children, David Freeman of Leesburg, Ned Brent Freeman (Karen) of Warsaw, Jon Eric Freeman of Columbia City and Michelle Renee Ball (Patrick) of Columbia City; and her grandchildren, Kara Huey (Terry), Kathryn Egly (Ted), Krista Shoemaker (Nathan), Rachelle Bertini (Albert), Brooke Freeman, Whitney Mullins (Jon), Courtney Spann (Elliott) and Chad Freeman (Krystal). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
