She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Shafer and Ethel Shafer (Davis). She is survived by: her brothers, James Shafer (Dessie) of Swayzee and Eddie Shafer (Casey) of Sweetser; and her nieces and nephews, Connie Whybrew, Michael Shafer, Jennifer Barley, Christy Shafer, Greg Shafer, Jeff Shafer, John Shafer, Jeff Bowland and Amy Miller.
