He was predeceased by: his parents, Oval Burchett and Lucille Burchett (Graham); his daughter Rhonda Cox; and his sisters, Joyce May and Juanita White.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Burchett of Swayzee; his daughters, Lynda Clevenger (Gale) and Patricia Burchett (Dan Hawkins); his grandchildren, Douglas Dennis, Amanda Clevenger-Wilkins (Gabe) and Chad Clevenger (Becca); his great grandchildren, Tyler, Jayden, Ashlyn, Averionna, Aidan, Bentley and Grayson; and his siblings, Roger Dale Burchett (Donna) and Geneva McDole. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
After retiring he enjoyed woodworking and built log cabins, covered bridges some of which he donated to charity.
