Richard Carl Smithson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Carl Smithson of Sunman, Indiana, who passed away on January 13, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Smithson and Alberta Smithson (Schafer); and his brother Ronald Smithson. He is survived by: his pet Chloe; his wife Eunice "Sunny" Smithson (Corrill); his children, Richard Smithson Jr. (Tracy) of Brookville, IN, Shannon Smithson of Manchester, IN and Sherry Love (Bobby) of Aurora, IN; his siblings, Robert Smithson, Raymond Smithson, Mary Smith, Barbara Carstens, Marcia Goyette and Katherine Gable; and his grandchildren, Shane Smithson, Cori Smithson, Chad Smithson, Todd Cox, Gene Cox, Sarah Smithson, Cheyenne Shell, Ronnie Shell, Noah Love, Elijah Love, Kayla McCollugh and Kate Love. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
