He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hyatt and Gladys Moehring Hyatt; his wife Diana Craig; his brothers, Herald and James Hyatt; his son Scott Hyatt; and his great grandchild Raelyn Ballard.

He is survived by: his son Steve Hyatt (Penny) of Dillsboro; his grandson Tom Hyatt of Ohio; his children, Angela Dees (Michael) of West Harrison and Raymond Gibson (Erika) of Brookville; and his siblings, Joann McQuire of Milan and Raymond Hyatt of Milan. He is also survived by 5 children; 12 great-grandchildren.
