He was predeceased by: his parents, Raleigh Louis and Bertha Hildebrand Gutapfel; and his siblings, Alvin Gutapfel, Esther Bausback and Anna Marie Clemenz.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann; his children, David Gutapfel (Debbie) of Sunman, June Fryman (Jeff) of Fairborn, OH, James Gutapfel (Justine) of Cedar Grove and Carol Schmidt (Ken) of Sunman; his grandchildren, Spencer Gutapfel (Haley), Truman Gutapfel, Brittney Minnich (Ben), Sarah Fryman (Cedric Gegel), Tyler Gutapfel (Alyssa), Shawn Schmidt, Garrett Gutapfel, Heather Fryman, Orrin Schmidt, Colton Gutapfel and Madison Schmidt; his great grandchildren, Carter Gutapfel, Payten Gutapfel, Brooks Gutapfel and Palmer Gutapfel; his siblings, Cletus Gutapfel (Patsy) and Ruth Huber; and his sister-in-law Arlene Gutapfel.
