He is survived by: his children, Ruth Hempfling, Annette Hempfling (Brian Wolverton), Ellen Lima (John), Michael Hempfling (Lisa), Gregory Hempfling (Patricia), Bernard Hempfling, Mary Hempfling and Loretta Hempfling. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
