It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garland W. Fields of Sunman, Indiana, born in Manchester, Kentucky, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Fields and Mabel Fields (Bowling); his son Luke Tharpe; and his siblings, Betty Chaney, Pam Gabbard, Jane Faye Walker and Joe Fields.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Fields; his children, Karen Powers (Grover) and Brande Issler (Randy); his grandchildren, Gabby, Amy, Mason, Desirae, Kia and Zac; his great grandchildren, Ava, Sawyer and Dexter; his siblings, Oscar Fields Jr. (Roberta), Patty Featherbay and Donna McCarty (Lonnie); and his daughter-in-law Taresa Tharpe.
