It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Gilbert of Sunman, Indiana, born in Batesville, Indiana, who passed away on July 29, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Schaefer and Marie Wiedeman Schaefer; and her son Eugene Freyer. She is survived by: her husband Jim Gilbert; her children, Tricia Freyer and Trent Freyer of Sunman; and her siblings, Russell Schaefer (Karen) of New Alsace, Linda McDonald (Dave) of Hilton Head, SC and Mary Lou Eckstein (Ken) of Saint Nicholas.
