He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carpenter and Rose Carpenter (Kirby); and his siblings, Denver, Salie, Tom, Glen, Ruby and Beulah.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Carpenter; his children, Kathy Forbeck (Jacob), Susan Silver (Mike) and Chris Bennett (Brigid); and his siblings, Walker, Pauline, Sally, Don and Wendel. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
