He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Smith and Daisy Cornett Smith; his daughter Lisa Marie; his brother Kenneth Smith; and his siblings-in-law, George Ammerman, Charles Sroufe, Neil Krandall and Mary Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Jansing; his sons, David Smith (Raynell) of Batesville and Brian Smith (Pamela) of Batesville; his grandchildren, Daniel Smith (Erica), Jacob, Joshua Smith, Nicholas Trenkamp (Rachel), Heather Bennett (Phil) and Danielle Schomber (Nick); his great grandchildren, Avery, Owen Smith, Will, Sam Trenkamp, Jack, Addison, Ethan, Luke Bennett and Sadie Schomber; his siblings, Bill Smith (Pam), Gertrude Ammerman, Joe Smith (Paula), Kathy Sroufe and Judith Smith; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Smith.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 17 at St. Mary's of the Rock Catholic Church, 17440 St Mary's Road, Batesville, IN 47006 at 10:30 a. m. Mask are recommended but not required.
