He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herman L. Schmitt and Amelia Schmitt; his wife Cassie Schmitt; his daughters, Clarissa Lee Ann Price of Danville and Tomeeka Gross (Dan) of Bainbridge; his siblings, Michael Schmitt (Priscilla) of Las Vegas, NV, Herman C. Schmitt of Avon, John Schmitt (Jackie) of Lakeland, FL, Louis Schmitt (Tina) of Indianapolis, Martha Ferguson (Jon) of Danville, Mary Meadows (Marko) of Avon and Rosemary Schmitt of Mooresville; his aunts, Ruth Nelson of Indianapolis and Mary Schmitt of Danville; and his brother Anthony Dominic Schmitt. He was also cherished by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
