With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alma Laker of Sunman, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alma left this world on November 27, 2024 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Riehle and Edna Riehle (Forthofer); her husband Harry Laker; her son Doug Laker; her son-in-law Brent Sarringhaus; her siblings, Helen Amberger and Brother Ralph Riehle; and her great grandchild Carter Bond.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Schuman (Mike) of Sunman, Gregory Laker (Donna) of Batesville, Carla Enzinger (Gerard) of Oldenburg, Ann Lesko (David) of Sunman and Gerald Laker (Jennifer) of Batesville; and her siblings, Betty Federle (Don), Mark Riehle (Carlene) and Janet Schwering. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 4:30 PM to 4:50 PM at the Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home - Sunman (107 W Vine St, Sunman, IN 47041). Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church (6461 E St Nicholas Dr, Sunman, IN 47041).
Memorial contributions can be directed to St. Nicholas Heritage Project for Phase II of the new school building project.
