He was predeceased by: his parents, William Vinson and Ida Vinson (Trout); his son Michael Vinson; his wife Dorothy Vinson (Coty); and his siblings, Harold "Pete" Vinson and Ruby Vinson.
He is survived by: his son David A. Vinson-Summitville; and his grandchildren, Steve Vinson (Ann), Phil Vinson-Yorktown (Erin), Misty Smalley-Leesburg (Chad), Kim Allen-Carmel (Mike) and Patrick Vinson-Hagerstown (Stacey). He is also survived by 14 Great-Grandchildren Nieces and nephews.
