She was predeceased by: her parents, G. Nolan Gates and Ruby Gates (Murnan); her husband Charles Babb; her siblings, Eugene Gates, William Gates, John Gates and Betty Myers; her brother-in-law James Myers; and her son-in-law Luis Cordero.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry Singleton (Samuel), Catherine Lee Babb and Susan Cordero- Springs of Colorado; her grandson Robert Wade Singleton (Emberly Jay); her brother David Gates-Summitville (Sharon); her sister-in-law Sandra Gates-Summitville; and her sister Judith Carter-Fairmount (Denny). She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews.
