He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Linda Evans; his siblings, Anthony Salyer Jr., Leland Salyer, John Salyer, Marcella Waddell and Eva Virginia Salyer; his daughters, Paula Keller of Greensburg and Cindy Salyer of Anderson; his granddaughter Annalise Keller; and his siblings, James A. Salyer, David Salyer, Samuel Salyer and Rosella Rutledge. He was also cherished by Many nieces, nephews, extended family.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Timmons Cemetery.
