She was predeceased by: her children, Jason Michael Brown and Gaila Joy Thacker; and her brother Carl Jesse Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Greg Brown; her children, Gregory Eric Brown, Joshua Kyle Brown, Daniel James Brown and Christina Ann Brown; and her siblings, Audrey Bowen, Jane Brown, Windi Moore and Paul Jessee. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great -grandchildren.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made to Holmes Memorial Chapel in Joy's name.
