James Frederick Barnes Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Frederick Barnes of Sullivan, Indiana, born in Freedom, Indiana, who passed away on June 4, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Barnes and Virginia Barnes (Lavender); his son Phillip Barnes; and his sister Doris Allen. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Barnes; his daughter Lisa Marie Barnes-Vest (Claude); his stepdaughter Jennifer Robertson (Brian Hampton); his sister-in-law Peggy Copeland; his grandchildren, Colton Robertson (Emalee), Brayden Robertson and Shaelyn Robertson; his great grandchild Briella Robertson; and his nephew Josh Copeland.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice.
