He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald "Don" Hamilton and Ruth Tarwater Hamilton; and his parents-in-law, John Monk and Sally Lucas. He is survived by: his wife Kerri Hamilton; his son Kristopher Hamilton (Sarah); his grandchildren, Siler Hamilton, Hunter and Ali; and his brother John Hamilton (Linda). He is also survived by extended family, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
