She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur L. Smith and Mary F. Miller Smith; her husband Virgil Cooksey Sr.; her sons, Virgil Cooksey Jr. and Kevin Wayne Cooksey; and her siblings, Connie Smith, Alice Friddle and Bill Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Gloria Smith (Chris Welch); her grandchildren, Chelsi Smith (Jared Cooksey) and Derek Smith (Cora); and her siblings, Bonnie Richardson of Sullivan, Beverly Batchelor (Earl) of Brazil, Vicki Miller of Brazil, Debbie Myers (Mark) of Brazil, Mike Smith of Brazil and Danny Miller of Terre Haute, Indiana.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
