She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Abel and Katherine West Abel; her husband Jesse J. Mason Jr.; her sons, Larry Jay Mason and Gary Ray Mason; and her siblings, Alonzo Abel Jr., Les Abel, Archie Abel, Rebert Abel, Esther Shorter, Geraldine Moran and Norma Jean Wright.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Mason Hood (Michael) of Indianapolis; her daughter-in-law Marsha Thacker Mason; her grandchildren, Tiffany Garrett (Michael), Afton Bailey (Ernest) and Maggie Mullins (Nate); and her great grandchildren, Emma, Elijah, Ethan, Morgan and Macey.
