It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda D. Spurling of Straughn, Indiana, born in Rushville, Indiana, who passed away on March 23, 2021, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Whitten and Louise Whitten (Spurlin); and her brother Paul Rouse. She is survived by: her husband James T. "Jim" Spurling; her sons, Joseph Spurling of Straughn and Bradley "Brad" Spurling of Straughn; her grandchildren, Jaxon Tyler Spurling and Maci Rae Spurling; and her siblings, Kenny "Dale" Whitten of Shelbyville, Cathy Shively (Jay) of Shelbyville, Lisa Shephard (Steve) of Shelbyville, Martha Fischer (John) of Waldron and Sue Cecil (Larry) of Waldron. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
