He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvey and Estella Bailey (Shorde); his wife Ruth M. Bailey; and his siblings, Marvin, Amel, Charles, Hershel, Luther, Floyd, Jess Bailey, Elsie Barrett and Renelda Erwin.
He is survived by: his sons, Ronnie Bailey (Patty) of Jasper and Randy Bailey (Sandy) of Petersburg; and his grandchildren, Tonya Walton (Brady) of Jasper, Tracy Bailey of Jasper, Eric Bailey of Jasper, Kimberly Shoultz (Cody) of Petersburg and Skyla Melhiser (Luke) of Winslow. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
