With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Caldemeyer of Stendal, Indiana, born in Huntingburg, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 1, 2024 at the age of 66. As we bid Gary farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gary is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his mothers, Betty Caldemeyer (Blount) and Karen Miller of Mary's Church; and his sister Sharon Roettger. He is survived by: his wife Karen Caldemeyer of Stendal; his son Brent Caldemeyer (Brooke) of Jeffersonville; and his siblings, Brenda Houchin (Jerry) of Stendal, Larry Caldemeyer (Denise) of Lynnville, Karen Dixon (Rodney) of Winslow, Rita Williams (Mark) of Stendal, Kutina Kline (Albert) of Holland and William Caldemeyer (Jolene) of Stendal.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peters Lutheran Church (10529 Church St, Stendal, IN 47585).
