He was predeceased by: his parents, Erich Meyer and Ola Meyer (Henke); his former wife Linda Leingang; his daughter Melinda; his grandson Daniel Hopf; and his brothers-in-law, Rueben Butke, Rod Katter and Eldon Dedrick.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Meyer of Stendal; his daughters, Dana Hopf (Steve) of Jasper and Melody Kinker (Paul) of Stendal; his stepchildren, Trina Byram (Kirk), Tally Sokeland (Josh) and Clint Coleman (Krista); his sisters, Eunice Butke, Hazel Katter and Inza Dedrick; and his grandchildren, Erich, Melinda, Mary Kate Hopf, Emma, Owen Kinker, Kailyn, Hailee, Logan, Saige, Gabe, Sofia, Jax, Quin, Knox and Bella.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
