He was predeceased by: his parents, Gabe Godsey and Haley Jane Godsey (Phillips); his daughter Joyce White; and his brothers, Floyd, Arnold, Jessie, Ile and James Godsey.
He is survived by: his wife Opal of Springville; and his children, Don Godsey (Brenda) of Bedford, Rick Godsey of Springville, Wanda Carter (Doug) of Bedford, Janice Robbins (Richard) of Bedford, Barbara Moore (Tim) of Louisville, KY and Alice Godsey Golden of Springville. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
