He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul L. Hankins and Mary Leatta Hankins (Lane); his daughter AnnaLee Hankins; and his sister Paula S. Hinkle. He is survived by: his wife Lili Pan; and his siblings, Linda L. Rasner (Don), Karen Langley (Tom) and Richard G. Hankins (Karen).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Leon's memory may be given to Church on the Hill.
