He is survived by: his wife Mable Thornton; his children, Lisa Fitzgerald (Patrick), Gina Johnson (Daniel) and Mike Thornton (Kim); and his brother Clellan Thornton. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
