He is survived by: his wife Mattie Hopkins (Wagers) of Springville; his sons, Christopher Eric Hopkins (Emily) of Springville and Dustin Aaron Brain (Rebekah) of Springville; his grandchildren, Savanah Nicole Hopkins, Alan Joseph Brain, Katie Emily Brain, Sarah Michelle Brain, Jedd Cummings, Cylaine Cummings and Clayton Cummings; and his siblings, Jeffrey Brain of Bedford, Theresa Magnus (Mike) of Oolitic, Angie Shank (Bruce) of Freedom and Jerry Brain (Sarah) of Indianapolis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
