It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nancy Houchins of Spiceland, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Ellis and Edna Ellis (Flannigan); her stepmother Oshie Ellis; and her stepbrothers, Bruce and John Trieschman.
She is survived by: her husband Eddie Houchins of Spiceland; her children, Cindy Posey (Brett) of Spiceland, Steve Houchins (Vickie McIntosh) of New Castle, Glenn Houchins (Ceci) of Knightstown and Mark Houchins (Stephanie) of Spiceland; her grandchildren, Jesse Posey (Lindsay), Megan Bramell (Joshua), Shawna Hicks (Brett), Tiffany Byers (Andy), Jacob Houchins (Kiersten), Kelsey Smith (Caleb), Alex Pence (Madison), Andrew Pence (Emily), Adam Houchins, Aaron Houchins, Aiden Houchins, Stella Houchins and Ava Houchins; her siblings, Jerry Ellis (Judy) of Spiceland and Cathy Trieschman; and her friends, Linda Haney and Shelley Haney. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children's Hospital or the First Christian Church in Knightstown.
