He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wagler and Mary Wagler (Yoder); and his siblings, Lena Barkman (Monroe), Wilmer Wagler (Betty), Omer Wagler, Mildred Delagrange (Ora), Catherine Delagrange (Delbert), Rose Delagrange (Amos Jr.), Ray Wagler and Wilbur "Dale" Wagler (Doris).

He is survived by: his wife Martha Viola Steury (Steury) of Leo; his children, Michelle Renee Hershberger (Lee) of Spencerville, Theresa Elizabeth Wagler of Fort Wayne, David William Wagler of Harlan and Jonathan Aaron Wagler of Spencerville, Indiana.; and his grandchildren, Lucas David Wagler, Alijah Simon Wagler, Aiden Alan Wagler (Ayanna Flores) and Simon Paul Hershberger.
