It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis Jeanette Malicoat of Spencer, Indiana, born in Freedom, Indiana, who passed away on November 26, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Williams and Josephine Williams (Dyer); her husband Charles L. Malicoat; and her daughter Deborah Updike. She is survived by: her son Bill Roberts (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Daren, Derik, Corey and Becky; her great grandchildren, Keegan, Ryan, Eli, Riley and Charlie; her sisters, Irma Jean Franklin and Mary Jo Hall; and her brothers-in-law, Carl Edwards, Stu Sherfick and Bobby Hall. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Owen County Humane Society.
