He is survived by: his wife Shelby Cottengim; his children, Judy Lynn Whitner of Bloomington and John David Cottengim of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Jason Johnson, Amanda Coats (Matt Wiggins), Jessica Johnson (Daniel Kent) and Jama Cottengim; his great grandchildren, Zoey Wilson, Emerson Johnson, Kinsley Johnson, Grady Johnson and Shelby Coats; and his siblings, Jason Howard Cottengim (Jan) of Greenwood and Debbie Parks (Rick). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
