He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Metzger and Anna Metzger (Hitzelberger); and his siblings, Ralph Metzger, Roger Metzger and Pamela Metzger.
He is survived by: his children, Jay Dee Metzger Jr. (Ashley Robertson), Chris Clampitt, Jason Arms, Crystal Clampitt (Josh) and Jessica Fourman (Galen); and his nieces and nephews, Jeremy Bellmore (Sarah), Cody Pennington (Kate), Alisha Metzger and Kristen Metzger. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandson.
