Helen Monforte Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Monforte (Spencer, Indiana), born in Mount Vernon, Kentucky, who passed away on March 12, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas and Ida Hood (Turner); her former husband Billy Childress; and her son Jack Childress. She is survived by: her daughter Janet Wilder (Fred) of Tampa, FL; her siblings, Louella Scamihorn of Poland, IN, Elizabeth Maiden (Ron) of Pittsboro, IN, Robert Hood (Beverly) of Lebanon, IN and Monroe Hood (Shirley) of Mooresville, IN; her daughter-in-law Ruth Childress; her grandchildren, Joshua Childress, Jonathon Childress (Yuri), Jenna Childress, Melissa Wilder and Jason Wilder (Danielle); and her great grandchildren, Addison Wilder and Madelyn Wilder. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
